We are studying how to crowdsource motivational support for runners from spectators in the crowd. CrowdCheer is an iOS app that helps spectators to track and cheer on runners during the race, and helps runners get more support!

Spectators:
1. Complete the 5 min pre-survey now.
2. Download CrowdCheer (You must be on your iPhone to download the app!)
3. Go to your home screen to open the app.
4. You may see a message about "Untrusted Developer". This is because our app is for research and not on the App Store yet. Go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > DEVICE MANAGEMENT > NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY and Trust Northwestern to open the app. (image below)
Login to the app and keep going through the setup until you see the following screens:
Runner Directions (for spectator, keep scrolling):
When asked in the app, you must authorize permission to the data we need or the app will not work!
1. Make sure your profile pic shows off your race outfit so people can spot you
2. Include a fun cheer that you want people to say when they see you!
3. The app should start once you get to the race, but before you start check if it's monitoring!

When asked in the app, you must authorize permission to the data we need or the app will not work!
1. Get the bib #s from any of your runners so you get notified about them
2. Get to the dashboard and wait to see your runner's status. If your runner is far off, we'll let you know of other people you can cheer!
3. If you're cheering for someone else, but your runner gets closer, we'll notify you right away!
4. View your runner's details when they're close by.
5. We'll tell you when to look for them and cheer!
